SCO summit in China

Iranian President Masoud Pezashkian has left the capital Tehran for the Chinese port city of Tianjin to take part in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Pezeshkian said before his departure that he will hold a bilateral meeting with China’s president during the visit. He said talks with other present heads of state and foreign ministers are also on the agenda. The president added that the meetings offer an opportunity to bring viewpoints on economic, political and security topics closer together. He also noted that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization represents 40 percent of the world economy and is an opening against unilateralism and totalitarianism of the US and the Western world.

US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The Israeli military continues its genocidal campaign in Gaza, where desperate civilians seeking aid have increasingly become the primary victims of renewed airstrikes across the besieged territory. In the latest attacks, Israeli jets targeted tents sheltering displaced families near the al-Maqousi Towers, northwest of Gaza City. Palestinian media also reported an air raid north of Khan Younis. On Saturday alone, 77 Palestinians were killed, including 11 individuals waiting for food assistance. Since October 2023, the death toll from the US-Israeli offensive has surpassed 63,370, with more than 159,835 people injured.

Germany pro-Palestine protest

More than ten thousand people have held a massive rally in the German city of Frankfurt to show their support for the Palestinian people in Gaza. The demonstrators chanted slogans and carried placards in support of Palestine. They called for an end to Germany’s military cooperation with Israel, while condemning the government's stance on the regime's genocidal war on Gaza. Protesters also demanded an arms embargo on Israel and immediate humanitarian aid access to Gaza. Some participants called for the boycott of Israel, while others displayed placards reading, "Don't look away. Raise your voice." Despite initial attempts by municipal authorities to ban the protest, Frankfurt police confirmed that the event proceeded without any major incidents.
