Israel ceasefire violations
Israeli forces press ahead with their blatant violations of the Gaza ceasefire, causing more civilian casualties and preventing enough humanitarian aid from entering the blockaded territory. At least one Palestinian was killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a group of civilians collecting firewood east of the al-Bureij refugee camp, in central Gaza. Another civilian was killed after a building, which was damaged during the Israeli aggression, collapsed on its residents in Gaza City's Al-Daraj neighborhood. The regime also continued to bar entry of adequate humanitarian aid into Gaza. According to Gaza’s government media office, Israel has so far allowed only a little more than four-thousand trucks to enter Gaza, which is much less than 15,600 trucks that were supposed to enter the territory following the truce. The office said this limited figure does not meet Gazan’s minimum food, medical, and living requirements, which must be supplied by at least six-hundred trucks per day.
Birmingham football protest
In the UK, thousands of people took to the streets of Birmingham on Thursday night, demanding the cancellation of the upcoming football match between Aston Villa and Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv. They also called for the expulsion of Israel from all international competitions. In response, British police deployed over seven-hundred officers across the city.
Israel Lebanon aggression
A wave of local and regional condemnations is pouring in following the latest round of Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon. Lebanese President Michel Aoun described the attacks as a blatant violation of international law, and a heinous political act. He accused Israel of intentionally sabotaging peaceful negotiations and breaching UN resolutions. Echoing the national stance, the Lebanese army strongly denounced the regime’s aggression. The commander of the Lebanese army even suggested suspending plans to disarm the resistance south of the Litani River, marking a significant response to the escalation. Regionally, Hamas slammed the attacks as a war crime, urging Lebanese unity to address Israel’s escalation. Hamas asserted that the Zionist adversary will not succeed in breaking the will of the resistance. From Yemen, the Ansarullah movement pledged to support Lebanon, its people, army, and the resistance, while reaffirming Lebanon's rightful claim to defend its sovereignty.
