US aggression on Iran
American forces have attacked three Iranian oil tankers in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. A tanker near Kharg Island was struck on Saturday morning, with no casualties reported. Images show the vessel's cooling system extinguished the fire. Two other tankers were targeted near Jask in Hormozgan province, one empty and the other carrying an oil cargo. The crew of both vessels were transferred to shore by lifeboats. The US Central Command claims its forces struck three Iranian crude oil carriers in response to the IRGC launching ballistic missiles toward two US Navy warships. The strikes come days after US attacks on Iran’s south that led to retaliatory operations by the Islamic Republic.
Iran resilience
An Iranian senior commander says the Islamic Republic’s success in recent wars has demonstrated the country’s resilience and the failure of its adversaries to achieve their objectives. Iranian Army Chief of Staff and Deputy Coordinator, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, said Iran’s armed forces remained capable of carrying out their mission despite sanctions and sustained military pressure. He stressed that defending Iran’s territorial integrity and the Islamic Revolution remains the Army’s primary responsibility. Sayyari also compared the recent conflict with the eight-year Iran-Iraq war, saying that in both cases, adversaries failed to achieve their goals despite their military capabilities.
Hezbollah slams govt. inaction
Hezbollah has slammed Israel's escalating attacks on Lebanon amid what it called government inaction and US complicity. The resistance group said that the aggression is aimed at pushing Lebanese authorities to implement agendas that could plunge Lebanon into internal strife. Meanwhile, the Israeli regime’s attacks across southern Lebanon killed at least five people and injured over 120 in the past 24 hours. Explosions were reported in Mansouri in Tyre district, where Israeli forces planted explosives inside homes for demolition. Blasts also hit Beit Yahoun and Bint Jbeil in the Nabatieh Governorate. Israeli forces advanced into the western outskirts of Mays al-Jabal in the district of Marjayoun amid artillery shelling and machine-gun fire. Overnight attacks killed at least three, including an 18-year-old female student, whose home was also destroyed. The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since October 2023 has reached nearly 9,000.
