What We’re Looking For
We accept a wide range of content that aligns with Press TV’s editorial vision and international focus, including:
- In-depth reportage on underreported social, political, cultural, economic issues
- Analysis of important political developments, with a particular lens on West Asia
- Insightful features examining Western imperialism, Israeli settler-colonialism, and the role of Global South as it rises against hegemonic narratives.
- Investigations into stories that corporate Western media ignores, censors or distorts.
- Interviews with news-makers and change-makers around the world.
Submission Guidelines
- Open Submissions: We accept submissions throughout the year. However, content related to breaking news or current events should be sent promptly to ensure relevance.
- Original Work Only: Submissions must be original and unpublished. Do not submit content published or under consideration elsewhere.
- Accuracy Matters: Please fact-check your work thoroughly and provide sources for all cited data or statements.
- Format: Submit your work in Word (.doc/.docx) format only. PDFs or other file types will not be accepted.
- Bio: Include a one-line bio at the end of your article. You may also include social media handles (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) if desired.
- Author Photo: Attach a high-resolution photo of yourself with your submission.
- Plagiarism Policy: Press TV maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. Any violation will result in a permanent ban from future contributions.
- Response Time: Due to the high volume of submissions, we will contact you only if we accept your piece. If you do not hear from us within six business days, feel free to submit the article to other publications.
Editorial Style Guidelines
- Word Count:
- Reportage: 1,000–1,200 words
- Features/Analysis: 1,200–1,500 words
- Long-Form/Essays: 2,000–2,500 words
- Headlines: Keep headlines sharp, informative, and concise. They should clearly reflect the core of your story.
- Introductions: For feature articles, include a short 25-word italicized summary above the main introduction.
- Referencing: All references must be hyperlinked within the body of the text. If a source is not available online, in-text citations are acceptable.
- Language Use:
- Use American English (e.g., "labour," not "labor").
- Non-English terms should appear italicized on first mention with an English translation in brackets or a footnote.
- Avoid archaic, colonial, racist or exclusionary language.
- Minimize legalese or jargon; aim for clarity and accessibility.
- Quotations: Quotes should add unique value. If a quote is grammatically flawed or unclear, consider paraphrasing or using indirect speech.
- Dates: Use the format "July 28, 2025."
- Editorial Discretion: All submissions are subject to editing to meet Press TV’s editorial standards.
