donaldjtrump.com reportedly hacked by alleged Turkish hactivist

The website of former US President Donald Trump has reportedly been hacked by a Muslim hactivist form Turkey.

A hacker called RootAyyildiz has allegedly taken credit for the hacking of the former president's donaldjtrump.com website.

Written in Turkish, a message read: "Do not be like those who forgot Allah, so Allah made them forget themselves. Here they really went astray."

There was no official response from the Republican leader or his office in response to the alleged hacking.

Links to the hackers' Instagram and Facebook were also listed on the webpage.

Back in November 2020, the same hactivist allegedly took on a URL belonging to the campaign of now-President Joe Biden, vote.joebiden.com.

“We are the ones who stopped the tanks with their bare hands on the night of July 15,” read a message at the the time. "We are those who killed death that night. We have been waiting for Archers Hill for 15 centuries! We are the keepers of that golden banner that will never miss its shadow on us.”

The US National Intelligence Council in March listed the group's hack on the Biden-Harris presidential campaign website, noting that there were national motives behind it.

"In November, hackers promoting Turkish nationalist themes breached and defaced a website previously established for a candidate in the U.S. presidential campaign, according to U.S. cybersecurity press," the NIC stated in the report.

Trump's "about" section of his website was also hacked back in October 2020.
