US President Donald Trump’s offer of $5,000 to every adult citizen in return for a Republican sweep in the national midterm elections has provoked massive skepticism and criticism.
Many say it’s effectively a bribe and that it tries to take advantage of a population wracked by years of plummeting purchasing power. Ramin Mazaheri has more from Washington DC.
