Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned about the risk of renewed regional war driven by the Israeli regime, saying Ankara supports efforts to reduce tensions through dialogue and diplomacy.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Istanbul after talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Erdogan said Turkey sought peace and security for all people in the region regardless of religion.
“We want a climate in which all people of the region live in peace and security, regardless of their religious beliefs,” he said.
The Turkish president, however, added that the Israeli regime “addicted to war, must not be allowed to drag our region again into the smell of gunpowder and blood.”

Erdogan said Ankara would continue backing initiatives aimed at lowering regional tensions and resolving disputes through diplomatic engagement.
"We support every step that contributes to de-escalation in the region and helps solve problems through dialogue," he said.
He added that Turkey would continue cooperating with “brotherly countries,” including Pakistan, to advance regional stability, security, and prosperity.
The Turkish president has repeatedly warned of regional escalation, intensifying his warnings in recent weeks over the possibility of broader regional conflict involving the regime.
During a Turkish Red Crescent awards ceremony in Ankara late last month, Erdogan described the regime as a "factory for producing strife, bloodshed, and destabilization in the region."
He said Turkey was working to ensure accountability for the regime’s genocide in Gaza, adding that those responsible would be held accountable before law and history.

Earlier this month, Erdogan again rebuked the regime, likening it to Nazi Germany and saying that those who "follow in the footsteps of Adolf Hitler" would face a similar fate if they continued on the same path.
"Those who attack the region like a shark that has smelled blood will pay the price sooner or later," he also warned.
