Slamming US economic 'terrorism'
Iran’s foreign ministry has condemned as economic terrorism, the US threat of a stepped-up economic war against the country. The ministry’s spokesman said the US has failed to achieve its goals in every act of war and assassination and campaign of sanctions against Iran. Baqaei said rhetoric like reference to an economic D-Day by the US treasury secretary only show Washington’s helplessness versus Iran. He said this is the same miscalculation that led to US assume it can force Iran into surrender in the face of military aggression. His comments come after the US threatened Iran, with an economic D-Day with an embargo set to begin Monday.
