Israeli drone strike kills two Palestinians in displacement tent in central Gaza
Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured early Monday when an Israeli drone struck a displacement tent near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, according to medical sources.
The victims were identified as Mohammed Nasser Abu Assad and Ibrahim Nasser Abu Assad. The tent was sheltering displaced Palestinians when it was hit, sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Anadolu.
Israeli warplanes also carried out two strikes near the hospital, while Israeli artillery shelled an area south of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
The latest attack came hours after Israeli strikes across central and southern Gaza killed two Palestinians, including a child, and injured 14 others.
A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said two people were killed and seven were injured in an Israeli strike on Az-Zawayda in central Gaza shortly after the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning.
The latest deaths bring to 1,286 the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the so-called ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, according to the besieged territory’s Health Ministry.
Since Israel’s genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza began in October 2023, the regime has killed more than 73,400 Palestinians in the territory.
The two-year war reduced cities to rubble and displaced more than one million people.
