The Lebanese Islamic resistance movement Hezbollah has rejected the Israeli forces' claim to wield control over the Ali Al-Taher heights.
Hezbollah issued a statement on Friday denying the claims of official Israeli institutions affiliated with the Zionist forces, claiming that they have taken control of Ali Al-Taher Hill on the eastern outskirts of the city of Nabatiyeh.
The Islamic Resistance categorically rejects what was published by official entities belonging to the Israeli forces regarding its control over Ali al-Taher Hill, it said.
The statement added that the heights on the eastern outskirts of Nabatiyeh are free of any military presence of the occupying regime forces, and this hill remains under the control of resistance fighters and they are in charge of stopping any enemy occupation forces incursion.
Resistance fighters are on full alert to confront any attempt by enemy forces to advance or infiltrate, Hezbollah asserted in the statement.
Also on Friday, Israeli regime forces carried out two new airstrikes near Nabatiyeh.
No immediate details were available on damage or possible casualties. However, official Lebanese figures say Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon have killed more than 4,230 people and wounded at least 12,179 others in the latest round of aggression.
Meantime, representatives of the Lebanese government and the Israeli entity have been engaged in US-mediated talks aimed at securing the occupying Zionist forces exit from southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah has rejected any deal that does not ensure the full withdrawal of the Israeli regime forces from Lebanese territory, while making clear it will continue to resist against the Zionists illegal attacks and unlawful incursions.
