The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has expressed its readiness to inflict a “much greater historic defeat” on the enemy if it repeats its excessive demands and violates the Iranian nation’s rights.

The IRGC issued a statement on Friday in response to a message issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei following the signing of an MoU that brings about a permanent end to the illegal US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic.

It hailed the Leader’s “wise message” for strengthening public unity and increasing hope among people and fighters in preserving their victorious achievements.

It said that Iranian people and fighters expect that the political arena will also be an extension of the battlefield arena and lead to the upholding of their rights.

“The aggressor enemy has been defeated on the battlefield in the face of the nation’s historic rise and the brilliant achievements by the warriors of Islam, and retreated in despair from the positions of erasing Iran from the map and returning it to prehistory, to the position of requesting and begging for an understanding and negotiations, and knelt before the grandeur of our nation.”

“The beloved nation and the warriors of Islam are like a solid mountain supporting their statesmen," it said

"And if the covenant-breaking enemy opts to resort to excessive demands and violate the rights of the Iranian nation as it was the case in the past, the IRGC forces, who are more powerful than before on land, sea, air, and in all areas of hybrid warfare and draw on the experience of several battles, stand ready to impose a much greater historical defeat on the adversary with the slightest gesture from their brave and wise commander.”

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his American counterpart Donald Trump remotely signed the MoU, which has 14 points and includes a commitment from both countries to hold further talks on a final agreement in the next 60 days.

It calls for a permanent end to hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon, the phased lifting of US sanctions, the removal of the naval blockade on Iran, and the restoration of commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuzwithin 30 days.

It also includes a US-backed reconstruction and economic development plan for Iran worth at least $300 billion, oil export waivers, the release of Iran’s frozen assets, and a renewed Iranian commitment not to seek nuclear weapons, while further negotiations continue over Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
