A member of Yemen's Ansarallah political bureau has said that Sana'a is already in a “declared state of war” and prepared to join the front against the US-Israeli coalition, based on the strategic needs of the Axis of Resistance.
In an interview with the Lebanon-based news outlet The Cradle, Ali al-Imad announced that Yemeni forces are awaiting the leadership's decision to join the retaliatory campaign.
When asked why Sanaa’s forces have not yet entered the direct fight following the recent strikes on Iran, al-Imad emphasized that readiness is high, but action must be calculated.
“From the very first day, the leader of Ansarallah, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced our full readiness for confrontation,” al-Imad said.
“We consider ourselves to be in a declared state of war, but determining the time and place of engagement is subject to the leadership’s decision and the conditions of the battle. We believe we are one front, and we fight our enemies only within a unified, collective path.”
Al-Imad dismissed speculation that Yemen’s position depends on the actions of neighboring Persian Gulf states.
He clarified that the current struggle is not a conflict between Arabs or Muslims, but a confrontation with the US military presence and its regional roles.

“We do not link our position to any [Persian] Gulf decision,” he noted. “There has been no bilateral communication or offers from those regimes, nor could we accept such things. We consider standing with Iran a religious and national duty because it is on the front line confronting a project that targets the entire region, whether under the banner of ‘Greater Israel’ or the ‘New Middle East.’”
The official described Yemen’s military strategy as one of phased escalation, similar to the "support front" established for Gaza in 2023.
“When the enemy crosses certain lines, we move to a new stage,” he explained.
He further clarified that while the "Yemeni decision" is independent, it is integrated into a broader regional vision.
“The path is one, and coordination exists within a unified front... Victory can only be achieved through integration and coordination.”
These remarks come as Iran has launched sustained drone and missile operations against Israeli targets and US bases in West Asia in response to recent attacks on its territory.
Simultaneously, Iraqi resistance factions have targeted US installations, while Hezbollah has engaged Israeli armor on the Lebanese border and also Israeli bases.
On Wednesday, Hezbollah and Iran launched their first joint rocket and missile barrages toward Israel, signaling a new level of military synchronization.
