Israel Gaza truce violations

The death toll from the Israeli genocide in Gaza keeps rising despite the ceasefire deal, as the regime continues its truce violations across the war-torn territory. Israel's latest attacks claimed the lives of at least 24 Palestinian civilians in northern and central Gaza, while leaving 87 others wounded. The strikes came after the regime falsely claimed an attack on its forces, which was categorically rejected by Hamas. The regime’s forces also conducted large-scale demolition operations in eastern Gaza City, and deployed a heavy "fire belt" targeting the southern cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah. Khan Yunis and Rafah were also targeted with multiple airstrikes after midnight. According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, since the truce started, Israel has committed nearly 500 violations, with 27 violations on Saturday alone. The regime’s violations have so far killed over 340 civilians, and injured about 880 others. The death toll from the Israeli genocide now exceeds 69,700, with nearly 170,900 others injured.

Israel truce breaches

The Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned Israel’s frequent violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, under the pretext of attacks on its forces. The movement says the regime is fabricating such pretexts to evade the agreement and restart its war of extermination. Hamas said it has called on the mediators to intervene immediately and force Israel to implement the agreement as agreed upon, and stop evading its obligations through “baseless” narratives. The movement’s remarks came after Israel launched new deadly strikes on Gaza, killing more than two dozen civilians. The regime claims the strikes were in response to an attack on its forces, accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire. Hamas rejected the claims, saying it has demanded the mediators to pressure Israel to reveal the identity of the gunman that the regime claims was sent by the movement. Hamas also rejected reports released by Israeli sources, alleging that the movement has informed US envoy, Steve Wittkov, that the truce agreement has ended. It said Israel is the only party that continues to violate the agreement on a daily and systematic basis.

Humanitarian crisis in Gaza

The international charity, Doctors Without Borders, has warned that humanitarian aid reaching Gaza remains far below what is needed, despite the ceasefire. MSF said if there is no tangible improvement in aid delivery, the people of Gaza will once again face harsh winter conditions. It added that the ceasefire agreement has not stopped Palestinian deaths due to Israel’s frequent truce violations. MSF noted that the Gaza ceasefire is very fragile, humanitarian aid is not reaching its destination, and the suffering of civilians has not ended. The group stressed that humanitarian aid has almost completely stopped since the ceasefire began, emphasizing that not a single health facility in Gaza is fully operational. It called on the international community and all countries that can pressure Israel to force the regime to allow the entry of essential supplies into Gaza.
