US-Israel Gaza genocide
Gaza is still reeling from relentless bombardments, with aid distribution centers being the primary targets of direct Israeli fire. Sixteen Palestinians have been killed since dawn on Wednesday. Over a dozen of them were aid seekers targeted in several locations, including an area near Rafah and the Netzarim corridor. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide since October 2023 stands at over 60,000. Nearly 146,000 others have also been injured. The incessant strikes continue amid acute malnutrition and severe lack of essential supplies.
Americans disapproval of Gaza war
A new poll in the US indicates that support for Israel’s military actions in Gaza has hit a new low among Americans. According to the poll, conducted by Gallup, only 32% of Americans approve of the war, while the disapproval rate stands at 60%. The poll also shows that Democratic support is just eight%. The study follows a poll in April by the Pew Research Center, which showed a majority of respondents have unfavorable views of Israel. Meanwhile, a number of US lawmakers are voicing opposition to Washington’s military aid to Tel Aviv.
