Iran’s heroic defense, assertive diplomacy a source of pride for allies: Lebanese MP in meeting with Araghchi
A senior Lebanese parliamentarian has commended the heroic defense of the Iranian nation against US-Zionist military aggression, praising Iran's assertive diplomacy as a vital factor that solidifies the country’s authority.
Seyyed Hassan Fadlallah, a representative of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Sunday evening to discuss regional developments and reaffirm the strategic ties between Tehran and Beirut.
Fadlallah noted that this steadfast stance serves as a profound source of pride for Iran's allies and freedom-loving people across the region and the world.
The Lebanese lawmaker also provided a comprehensive briefing on the current security and political situation in Lebanon, highlighting the ongoing aggression and occupation by the Zionist regime.
Expressing deep gratitude for Iran’s continuous backing of the Lebanese people, particularly Foreign Minister Araghchi’s diplomatic efforts in support of Lebanon and the Resistance, Fadlallah stressed the urgent need for cohesive and decisive action by Islamic nations.
He called for a unified regional front to counter Zionist expansionism and ongoing crimes in Lebanon, Gaza, and the occupied West Bank.
In response, Foreign Minister Araghchi praised the honorable resistance and steadfastness of the Lebanese people in the face of savage Zionist attacks.
He reiterated the Islamic Republic’s comprehensive and unwavering support for Lebanon in its defense of national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and dignity.
Iran’s relationship with Lebanon, particularly with the Lebanese Resistance, has been a cornerstone of Tehran’s regional foreign policy since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
