Iran’s Red Crescent submits documents of US-Israeli war crimes to international bodies

Members of the Iranian Red Crescent Society are searching through the rubble for victims during the US-Israeli aggression against the country.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society has submitted dozens of documents on US-Israeli war crimes to the International Criminal Court prosecutor, the United Nations, human rights bodies, and international relief organizations, says head of the society.

Pirhossein Koulivand, speaking at a Wednesday meeting of the central headquarters, said a total of 35 documents have been prepared and submitted to international authorities.

The documentation covers the destruction of residential homes, commercial units, universities, schools, educational centers, medical facilities, Red Crescent buildings, airports, infrastructure, bridges, fuel depots, ambulances, relief vehicles, and helicopters that were directly targeted in the attacks.

Koulivand emphasized that all incidents were “recorded, documented, and pursued on a moment-by-moment basis,” with relief personnel tasked not only with rescue operations but also with capturing images and evidence.

“All documentation has been prepared in accordance with international laws and regulations and translated into Persian, Arabic, and English,” he said, adding that video and photographic evidence were submitted alongside written reports.

The Red Crescent chief noted that in recent meetings with UN representatives and officials from various Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, he presented multiple examples of damage to civilian infrastructure and service centers.

“Images and documentation of civilian casualties—particularly children—were shown, and attendees reacted strongly to the human dimensions of these events,” he said.

Koulivand also noted that Red Crescent relief teams “successfully rescued thousands of civilians from beneath the rubble.”

He added that international representatives at the meetings “expressed gratitude for the Iranian Red Crescent’s performance, describing it as one of the world’s most capable national societies.”

“Some participants described the attacks on civilian targets as war crimes and emphasized the need for legal follow-up in international forums,” Koulivand said, adding that several organizations agreed to submit their own reports for further action.

The United States and Israel launched an unprovoked war against Iran on February 28, assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and a host of senior commanders.

Subsequent terrorist strikes on civilian targets have killed hundreds of civilians, including more than 200 children.

Among the most tragic losses are over 181 schoolchildren and teachers in the southern city of Minab.
