Hezbollah: Israel never abided by any ceasefire agreement

Lebanon’s Hezbollah says Israel commits massacres against civilians to cover up the losses it suffered.

Hezbollah says Israel has committed massacres against Lebanese civilians to cover up the losses it suffered at the hands of the resistance fighters, stressing that the occupying regime never abided by any ceasefire agreement.

Dismissing the Israeli claims that Hezbollah violated the ceasefire, the Islamic Resistance Operations Room said in a statement on Friday that “the enemy has never adhered to any ceasefire agreement since November 27, 2024, through April 16, 2026, culminating in the outcomes of the recent Iranian-American understanding, which emphasized in its first clause the end of the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.”

The statement referred to Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire, including committing massacres and destroying residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, as well as its attempts to advance and seize more Lebanese areas.

“Israeli disregard for the ceasefire reached such a point that the enemy's Chief of Staff, the criminal Eyal Zamir, declared two weeks ago that ‘there is no ceasefire in Lebanon,” before his army spokesperson "reiterated yesterday the continued activity of the occupation forces in southern Lebanon.”

Commenting on the latest massacres committed by Israel against civilians in villages of southern Lebanon, Hezbollah said the attacks took place as an attempt to cover up the Israeli forces’ failure to confront the resistance fighters on the battlefield overnight.

Field sources reported fierce clashes between Hezbollah fighters and invading Israeli forces along Kafr Benit-Ali al-Tahir axis.

The Lebanese fighters thwarted the invading troops’ attempts to advance in the area and inflicting heavy losses and casualties on them.

Following the operation, Israel has attacked residential buildings in the villages of Nabatiyeh.

The statement stressed that Hezbollah will continue to defend the Lebanese land and people with courage and inflict deaths and injuries on Israeli forces.

As the Israeli army confirmed that at least four Israeli soldiers were killed and 17 others injured in the overnight operation, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Hezbollah will pay “a very heavy price.”

Meanwhile, Israel’s minister of military affairs Israel Katz claimed that the regime's army had hit more than 80 targets in Lebanon, allegedly killing dozens of Hezbollah fighters in the Bekaa and Nabatieh regions.

Turning a blind eye to Israel’s daily aggressions against Lebanon, Katz said that any violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah will be met with a “very severe response”.
