Israeli forces attack Press TV reporter covering Qalandiya raid in occupied West Bank
Israeli forces have attacked journalists, including PressTV’s Naqqa Hamed, covering a raid on the Qalandiya refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, using a stun grenade and tear gas against reporters wearing press vests and helmets as they documented the assault.
Israeli forces targeted reporters while continuing their second consecutive day of raids on the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied East al-Quds, where Palestinian officials reported injuries, arrests and damage to homes.
The attack on journalists came as they were covering Israeli military operations and abuses in the camp. Reports said the assault was carried out with a sound bomb while the reporters were clearly identified as members of the press.
The incident follows a previous attack in December, when Press TV correspondent Naqqa Hamed was injured after Israeli forces fired rubber bullets while she was reporting live from Qalandiya camp.

Mohammad Aslan, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)-affiliated Qalandiya Refugee Camp Popular Services Committee, said three Palestinians were seriously injured, including one who suffered a skull fracture after severe beatings.
Around 60 others suffered suffocation due to tear gas inhalation, while homes were searched and property, including cash and gold jewelry, was reportedly taken during the raids, Aslan said.
He described the situation inside the camp as "extremely difficult," saying Israeli forces had turned around eight homes into military positions and detained about 20 Palestinians.
"It is shameful that the world sees what is happening in the Qalandia refugee camp and remains idle. We hope the international community awakens from its silence over the torture and abuse inflicted on the residents," Aslan said.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its teams treated 10 people injured in the Israeli attacks and evacuated some of them. It added that Israeli forces prevented medical teams from entering the camp overnight despite patients remaining inaccessible.
Local sources also reported that Israeli forces planted explosives inside a Palestinian home after evacuating it, partially demolishing the building before arresting its owner.
Israeli forces have intensified raids across the occupied West Bank since the start of the war on Gaza in October 2023. Palestinian officials say the operations have killed more than 1,100 Palestinians, wounded thousands and led to mass arrests, home demolitions and further displacement.
