Eid al-Ghadir celebration in Tehran: An occasion of love, faith, and defiance

On the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, the people of Tehran flooded the streets in a massive 10-kilometer celebration, stretching from the city's Azadi Square to Imam Hussein Square, rallying in support of their leader.
The annual event marks Prophet Muhammad's last sermon after the Hajj pilgrimage over 1400 years ago, at Ghadir Khum, a place where he appointed Imam Ali as his successor.
