US-Israeli Gaza genocide

Palestinian resistance movements have strongly condemned Israel’s latest massacre in Gaza, which left several journalists and photographers dead. The regime’s airstrike hit the media workers' tent in front of Al-Shifa Hospital. Hamas said the fascist Israeli army's assassination of journalists is a savage crime that exceeds all boundaries of fascism and criminality. It added that the slain journalists documented Israel’s starvation crimes, and showed to the world scenes of the famine being imposed by the regime on the people in Gaza. The movement warned that assassinating journalists is aimed at silencing the media as a prelude to a major crime that Israel plans to commit in Gaza City. It called on the international community, the UN Security Council, and journalists worldwide to condemn the regime’s crimes and take immediate action to stop them. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad also slammed the killing of journalists, describing it as a "heinous war crime" committed by the "most brutal and criminal army in the world." It held Arab and Western governments responsible for failing to stop Israel's atrocities.

‘Expel Israel from competitions’

Israel’s killing of former Palestinian football star, Suleiman al-Obeid, in Gaza, has sparked global outrage. Now the UN rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories has called on the Union of European Football Associations to expel the regime from sports events. Francesca Albanese reacted to UEFA’s post for al-Obeid, saying it was time to expel his killers from competitions. She also called for sports events to be freed from apartheid and genocide. Her remarks came after UEFA bid farewell to al-Obeid, who was known as the Palestinian Pelé. It described al-Obeid as a talent who gave hope to countless children. UEFA’s post, which failed to mention that al-Obeid was killed when Israeli forces targeted people waiting for humanitarian aid in southern Gaza, was criticized by Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah. Salah responded by posting: Can you tell us how he died, where, and why? Since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, at least 662 athletes, including more than 100 children, have been killed in the territory.

Global boycott of Israel

Germany has reaffirmed its decision to halt arms exports to Israel in response to the regime’s plan to expand its aggression in Gaza by occupying Gaza City. Chancellor Friedrich Merz says Berlin cannot supply weapons to a conflict that is now being pursued solely by military means. He warned that Israel’s expanded operations in Gaza City could claim hundreds of thousands of civilian lives, and would require the evacuation of the entire city. Germany first announced its decision to stop weapons exports to Israel on Friday. The country is Israel’s second-largest weapons supplier after the US. Spain and Slovenia have already taken a similar step. The chancellor’s remarks came as anti-Israeli sentiments are growing in Germany. A new poll reveals that most German citizens now support recognition of a Palestinian state. According to a survey by the Forsa Institute, 54 percent of Germans favor recognition, while only 31 percent oppose it.
