Gaza truce proposal
The Hamas resistance movement says it is ready to enter discussions to implement the Gaza ceasefire proposals, tabled by the US. In a statement, Hamas said it is prepared to immediately begin talks on the implementation mechanism. The resistance movement added that it had made the decision after internal consultations and discussions with other Palestinian factions and forces. The proposals include negotiations to end the Israeli onslaught and the release of the regime’s captives. Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad movement said it supports the plans for talks. But it demanded guarantees that Israel will not resume its genocide after the release of its captives by Hamas.
Yemenis rally against Israel
In the face of mounting Israeli threats to launch new military operations against Yemen, the capital, Sana'a, and over a dozen cities witnessed a powerful wave of mass protests this Friday. The demonstrations go beyond solidarity with Gaza, signaling a broader response to regional tensions.
Hezbollah to keep resisting
Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has reiterated the movement's determination to resist Israeli oppression, stressing that the Lebanese resistance movement won’t accept demands to hand over its weapons. In a televised speech, Sheikh Qassem said those who call for the resistance to hand over its weapons must instead demand that the aggressor Israeli regime leave the territories it has occupied. The Hezbollah chief said they won’t ask for permission from anybody to defend their homeland. He said the movement will never surrender in the face of pressure from Israel and opponents in Lebanon. Speaking at a gathering in Beirut to mark the Muharram mourning ceremonies, Sheikh Qassem said they’re a nation of resistance against oppression, following the path of Imam Hussein.
