Islamabad MoU

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian says the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding will be the ‘center of gravity’ of the country’s future foreign relations. In a social media post, Pezeshkian said the memorandum is the result of the collective wisdom of members of the Supreme National Security Council, and all its members support it. The Iranian president added that all efforts must be made to compel the enemy to remain committed to what it has signed. Pezeshkian stressed that the memorandum will strengthen the security of Iran, the region, and Iran's allies. The 14-point Islamabad memorandum was signed remotely by Pezeshkian and his American counterpart, Donald Trump, in June through Pakistan’s mediation. It was an important step aimed at ending the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran. Despite Tehran's commitment to the memorandum, Washington violated its commitments multiple times by launching military strikes on civilians and civilian infrastructure in southern Iran. In July, Iran said it had suspended all its commitments under the MOU, citing the United States’ violations of its commitments.

Israel Gaza genocide

The Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned Israel’s latest strikes on the Gaza Strip, which left at least 18 civilians dead and wiped out entire families. The movement described the attacks as a deliberate escalation by Israel’s war criminal Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to derail efforts made by the mediators to implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Hamas called on the ceasefire mediators and guarantors to condemn Israel's criminal actions and pressure the regime to stop its crimes against Palestinians and halt the aggression against Gaza. The movement said such atrocious attacks amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. It urged the international community to take legal action to hold Israeli leaders accountable and protect Palestinian civilians from the ongoing threat of genocide and forced displacement.

Israel West Bank crimes

A prisoners’ rights group says the Israeli regime presses ahead with its detention campaign against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, abducting 600 civilians during July alone. According to the Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies, the abductees included more than 50 children, raising the total number of Palestinians abducted since October 2023 to more than 24,000. The center said Israeli forces continue to raid Palestinians’ homes across the occupied territory, destroying their property, and subjecting them to hours of field interrogations. It stressed that Israel pursues a systematic policy of exhausting Palestinian human resources in the occupied West Bank by abducting hundreds of civilians every month. The center said this practice is part of the regime’s policy of collective punishment, which is aimed at mounting pressure on the Palestinian population in the West Bank.
