In Italy, Inter Milan have booked a semifinal spot in the Coppa Italia after seeing off Fiorentina 2-1 at the San Siro.
Inter were the better side in the first period and took a 1-nil lead just before the interval thanks to Antonio Candreva firing into an unguarded net after Martinez knocked the ball into his path.
Inter squandered a number of chances to double their lead and paid the price on the hour mark when Martin Caceres pegged them back with a header home from a corner.
The Milanese club, however, restored their advantage 7 minutes later with a fine finish by Nicolo Barella, who thumped a first-time shot into the bottom-left corner. Inter will now face Napoli for a place in the final, while the other semi will be contested between fellow heavyweights Milan and Juventus.
