Satellite imagery shows extensive damage to US bases hit in Iranian retaliatory strikes

Satellite images released by military Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) sources on July 12, 2026 shows the aftermath of Iranian reprisal against American targets in the region.

Military Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) sources have released imagery testifying to extensive damage from recent Iranian retaliatory strikes against sensitive and strategic American targets across the West Asia region.

Pictures distributed by the sources on Sunday pertained to satellite imagery obtained from targets in Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Two targets were identified as an MQ-4C Triton drone hangar at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, which was shown to have been destroyed as a result of the reprisal, and a hangar at al-Udeid Airbase in Qatar, the United States largest such outpost in the region.

Another image depicted the aftermath of a missile strike on an equipment storage facility at the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

And yet another showed a fire burning at a base used by the United States to launch attacks using HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System).

The United States has perpetrated numerous violations against Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the latest bout of wholesale American-Israeli aggression against Iran.

The violations continued even after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding, whose first clause clearly mandates cessation of aggression on all fronts.

Iran's Armed Forces have staged uncompromising retaliation in the face of each instance, including those taking place in support of illegal vessel movement in the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier this month, the Islamic Republic scaled up its retaliation strategy in response to the violations, pledging to strike enemy targets at a ratio of at least two to one, meaning that for every Iranian target hit, at least two enemy targets will be struck in return.

Additionally, the country closed the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime traffic, conditioning its reopening to cessation of American military interference in the region.
