Drone footage of the Nepalese town of Devighat on Thursday showed buildings that remained standing, marred by mud, and the rest reduced to rubble a week after a Himalayan flood killed more than 1,200 people.
At least 4,200 remain missing in Nepal.
The flood, triggered by a glacier collapse near the Chinese border, tore through mountain towns and valleys.
Across the border in Tibet, China reported 21 dead and 541 missing.
