Funeral procession for martyred leader

In Iran’s holy city of Qom, millions of mourners have attended the funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and several members of his family. The procession began from the Jamkaran Mosque, and then the body of the martyred Leader and his family members were taken to the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh in Qom. Participants carried pictures of the martyred leader as well as flags of Iran. They also reaffirmed allegiance to the current Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. On Monday, millions of mourners took part in the martyred Leader’s funeral procession in Tehran. Following the funeral in Qom, the procession will proceed to the holy Iraqi cities of Karbala and Najaf. And finally, the martyred Leader will be laid to rest in the holy city of Mashhad in Iran. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several members of his family lost their lives in a US-Israeli strike in late February.

Slamming US threats

The Iranian foreign minister says negotiations with the US to reach a final agreement won’t commence as long as threats against Iran continue.
In a post on X, Abbas Araghchi pointed to paragraph 13 of the recent memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington, calling on the US to comply with the MoU. Araghchi said, neither the Iranian people nor the country’s armed forces are moved by threats. He also hailed the massive turnout of people in the funeral for Iran’s martyred Leader. The comments came after Donald Trump claimed the United States would either reach a deal with Iran or, in his words, finish the job. Tehran has maintained that pressure and intimidation will not change its position and that any renewed aggression will receive an appropriate response.

Germany complicit in aggression

Iran's Foreign Ministry has slammed German foreign minister’s recent remarks on the Strait of Hormuz, calling them a grotesque distortion of reality.
The ministry’s spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei, made the comment in a social media post. He was reacting to Germany’s foreign minister who said Iran must bear the cost of any international operation to clear mines from the Strait of Hormuz. Baqaei asserted that Yuhan Wadephul's rhetoric on the Strait of Hormuz is utterly shameful. The Iranian diplomat added that Germany must be held fully accountable for its complicity in the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, and bear the heavy costs of its active participation in the crime of aggression. Baqaei said no amount of offensive posturing will allow the Berlin regime to evade responsibility for its role in this illegal war, and the war crimes committed against the Iranian people.
