Two US Navy EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft collided during an airshow at Mountain Home Air Force Base on Saturday, sending all four crew members ejecting from the burning jets.

The incident occurred at the Gunfighter Skies Air Show, where the Growler Demonstration Team from the VAQ-129 “Vikings” was performing.

Video footage widely circulated on social media shows the two jets converging in close proximity before appearing to make contact.

Both aircraft then pitch up, seem to become entangled, and begin losing altitude. Moments later, all four crew members eject.

Photographers on the ground captured the ejection sequence, showing the crew descending under parachutes.

All four crew members survived and were reported to be in stable condition.

The airshow was immediately halted, and the remainder of the event was canceled.

“This could have ended much worse,” one aviation observer noted, pointing out that the upper jet was not directly over the lower aircraft’s canopy at the moment of ejection.

The crash occurred approximately two miles northwest of the base.

Military investigators have launched a probe into the cause of the collision.

The incident adds to a string of US military accidents during a period of heightened operations.

The United States has been engaged in a war of aggression against Iran since February 28, which has strained its forces and led to multiple aircraft losses, including F-15s, F-16s, helicopters and drones.

While the collision at Mountain Home was a training-related accident, it underscores the pressures on US air power as the Pentagon continues to enforce a naval blockade of Iranian ports and maintain a high operational tempo across West Asia.
