The IRGC’s Greater Tehran Command has conducted a large-scale military exercise focusing on readiness to confront enemy forces in any terrain.
The drill was organized by the Mohammad Rasulullah Division of the IRGC in the capital, the division commander General Hassan Hassanzadeh announced on Tuesday.
The exercise was held in honor of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
“All pre‑rehearsed scenarios, team and individual tactics and techniques for confronting the enemy on any land were practiced and evaluated,” Hassanzadeh stated.
The IRGC’s large exercise, honoring the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei and focused on readiness to confront the enemy, was held for five days and nights at operational sites around Tehran.

He said the exercise successfully achieved its objectives, primarily “enhancing combat ability to counter any hostile move by the American‑Zionist enemy.”
Iran’s armed forces maintain high alert despite a fragile ceasefire brokered by Pakistan in early April.
Since the February 28 US-Israeli war of aggression, which assassinated Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and struck civilian infrastructure, Iranian forces have carried out at least 100 waves of decisive retaliatory strikes under Operation True Promise 4.
The Army and the IRGC have integrated their air defense, naval and ground forces, updating target banks and manufacturing new weaponry even during the ceasefire.

Both the IRGC Navy and the Army’s naval forces jointly control the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that the United States has maintained an illegal naval blockade of Iranian ports and that Tehran is ready for a long‑term war if the truce collapses.
