Lebanon inseparable part of Iran’s 10-point ceasefire plan: Qalibaf

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says Lebanon is an inseparable part of the 10-point ceasefire plan the country has proposed, warning that any violation carries strong responses.

Since Wednesday when Iran and the US announced a 15-day ceasefire which included Lebanon in a 41-day war, the Israeli regime has targeted various areas throughout the Arab country, killing at least 254 people and wounding 1,165 others.

In a post on his X account on, Qalibaf reacted to the Israeli regime’s violation of the ceasefire by attacking Lebanon.

“Lebanon and the entire Resistance Axis, as Iran’s allies, form an inseparable part of the ceasefire,” he said, referring to the 10-point proposal.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif “publicly and clearly stressed the Lebanon issue; there is no room for denial and backtracking”, Qalibaf said.

The Iranian speaker warned ceasefire violations carry “explicit costs and strong responses”, urging the regime to "extinguish the fire immediately".

Pakistan has confirmed that Lebanon is included in the ceasefire it mediated. Israel and the US, however, claim the ceasefire does not include Lebanon, with Israel announcing it will continue its attacks on the country.

On Thursday, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said he had phoned Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and asked him to “confirm that the ceasefire includes Lebanon to prevent a recurrence of the Israeli attacks witnessed yesterday.”

In a statement, Pakistan's Foreign Office called on the international community to take urgent and concrete steps to end the aggression as it reiterated Islamabad's "unwavering solidarity with the government and people of Lebanon during this difficult time".

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that Iran is preparing "regret-inducing" response to the renewed Israeli attacks on Lebanon, warning that any assault on Hezbollah is an assault on the Islamic Republic.
