Slamming US 'state terrorism'

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned US economic sanctions against Iran, describing them as a form of US state terrorism targeting Iran and the world. In a statement, the ministry said the declaration of economic war against Iran is the continuation of the war of aggression waged by the United States and the Zionist regime against the country. It said Washington’s use of the dollar as leverage to intimidate other countries and compel them to follow its interventionist policies violate national sovereignty and right to self-determination of all UN member states. The ministry called on all countries to refrain from implementing such measures. It added that partnership in implementing unilateral US sanctions against Iran constitutes complicity in imposing the will of one state on independent nations. The ministry stressed that the Iranian nation will use all available means to defend the homeland against the US economic terrorism.

Iran warning

The spokesperson of Iran’s Defense Ministry says the enemy should be waiting for surprising responses if it makes a foolish move, referring to the surprises demonstrated in the recent war. General Talaei-Nik said new weaponry, equipment, technical and tactical capabilities have been prepared and will be shown on the battlefield. He also said that since the armed forces had built up strategic reserves of weapons and ammunition, Iran did not suffer a depletion of its strategic weapons stockpiles during the imposed US-Israeli war. The General noted that Iran’s military doctrine was based on hybrid and asymmetrical confrontation. Talaei-Nik said the doctrine included opting for offensive approaches with the aim of preventing the enemy to seize the initiative.

Israel Gaza genocide

The Israeli regime continues to press ahead with its deadly attacks on the war-ravaged Gaza strip, killing more Palestinians. خne person was killed and several others were injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted a group of Palestinians in the al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City. Another person is reportedly in critical condition. A separate drone strike killed three members of the same family in the town of Al Qarara, south of the strip. Another Palestinian was seriously wounded by Israeli gunfire east of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza. Meanwhile, the regime is carrying out a large-scale demolition campaign in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, detonating and destroying residential buildings. Since the beginning of its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Israel has killed more than 73,400 Palestinians.
