A long-delayed energy project between Pakistan and Iran is once again in focus, as Islamabad steps up efforts to resolve the gas pipeline dispute and avoid further complications from international arbitration.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has constituted a committee to work toward a mutually acceptable settlement, while lawmakers see the project as a potential answer to Pakistan’s growing energy needs.
