Iran response to enemy plots

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps has declared its full military readiness, warning that any hostile action against the country will be met with a harsh response. IRGC Deputy Commander General Ahmad Vahidi stressed that Tehran’s response will make the enemies regret any adventurism, adding that Iran is now more prepared than during the 12-day war in June. He emphasized that past attempts to defeat the Islamic Republic through military pressure and internal unrest have failed, thanks to the unity and solidarity of the Iranian people. The senior commander says the US and its allies claim to support the Iranian people during the recent terrorist attacks but have committed countless crimes in the country. Meanwhile, Iran’s ministry of intelligence says it has arrested nearly 150 terrorists in the Hamedan Province involved in producing and distributing hand grenades and Molotov cocktails during the recent foreign backed terrorist attacks.

Crackdown on pro-Palestine voices

A pro-Palestinian activist has been sentenced to 15 months in French prison after being prosecuted over her social media posts in support of Palestine. Amira Zaiter appeared in court on Friday after nearly two months in detention, during which she was separated from her daughter and reportedly denied outside contact. She was prosecuted over posts on X and Instagram, facing 13 charges including alleged “apology of terrorism”. Aside from a 15 months prison time, the court also barred her from public office for a decade, and ordered her to pay reparations. This is Zaiter’s second conviction connected to Palestine advocacy. Activists warn the ruling is intended to intimidate and silence pro-Palestinian voices in France.

ICE detains 5-year-old

In the US state of Minnesota, federal immigration agents have detained a five-year-old boy who was arriving home from preschool, drawing condemnation from school officials. According to the school superintendent, agents took Liam Conejo Ramos from his family's driveway. The official said agents told him to knock on his home's door to see if others were inside, essentially using him as bait. The boy's father was the target of the arrest. School officials said the agents wouldn’t leave Liam with another adult while federal officials claim the father requested his son stay with him. Both are now in a family detention facility in Texas. The superintendant said that the family has an active asylum case and had not been ordered to leave the country. She also stated this is the fourth student from the district detained by ICE in recent weeks, causing widespread fear and a sharp drop in school attendance.
