Funerals for Iran riot victims

As Iranians express their hatred toward foreign-backed riots in the country, a number of Iranian cities have hosted funeral processions for those who were martyred in the riots. One of those funerals has been held in the Capital Tehran for 100 martyrs, including security personnel and civilians, who lost their lives in the riots. Funeral processions were also held in the cities of Isfahan and Bushehr, where people reaffirmed their allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution. They held the pictures of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and waved the Iranian flags. Over the past days, various cities have seen similar ceremonies and mass rallies in condemnation of the recent foreign-backed terrorism.

Slamming Israel over supporting riots

Iran’s foreign minister says Israel has always tried to drag the United States into fighting wars on its behalf. In a social media post, Abbas Araghchi said as Iran’s streets have been bloodied, Israel openly and proudly says "it armed the protesters with weapons of war, adding that this is the reason for the hundreds of deaths." Araghchi stressed that President Trump should know where to turn to stop the bloodshed. Earlier, in a phone call with UAE Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al‑Nahyan, Araghchi underscored Iran’s firm resolve to defend Iran’s national sovereignty and security against any form of foreign intervention. He emphasized that Iran will not allow external actors to destabilize the country or undermine its territorial integrity. Both sides also reviewed regional issues, with Al-Nahyan urging continued consultations and joint efforts to boost regional stability and security.

Trump Greenland threats

France has called on US President Donald Trump to abandon what he called blackmail regarding Greenland as Washington continues to threaten to take control of the island. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said Greenland is a European territory under NATO protection, and that Europeans have powerful means to defend their interests. Trump has made controlling the vast Arctic island a priority since returning to office, eyeing its significant resources beneath the ice. Two days ago, he reiterated his rhetoric, claiming that the US must seize Greenland “before Russia and China do,” even if it requires unconventional methods. Greenland's Prime Minister emphasized that his people would choose Denmark over the US if such a decision were made.
