US aviation giant Boeing has signed an $8.6 billion deal to supply Israel with advanced F‑15IA fighter jets, the Pentagon said, coinciding with a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida.

According to the Pentagon, the deal covers "the design, integration, production, and delivery of 25 new F‑15IA aircraft for the Israeli Air Force, with an option to build an additional 25 jets."

The contract could result in 50 new warplanes being added to Israel’s fleet, which already includes 66 other F‑15 variants.

Pentagon officials said the contract work will be carried out in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to continue through December 2035.

The announcement came shortly after the high‑profile meeting between Trump and Netanyahu, underscoring Washington’s longstanding and unwavering military backing for the Israeli regime.

The renewed arms deal has reignited outrage among anti‑war and pro‑Palestinian activists, who have called on Washington to end its military support for Tel Aviv.

The Boeing deal follows another major weapons agreement signed last November, when Israel secured a $5.2 billion contract for 25 F‑15IA jets, with deliveries planned to begin in 2031 at a rate of four to six aircraft per year.

The United States has been Israel’s main supplier of weapons for the past five decades, providing billions in military aid through foreign military sales and direct assistance.

A recent audit by the US Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) found that the Pentagon has lost track of billions of dollars in taxpayer‑funded weapons shipped to Israel during two years of genocide in Gaza.

The audit, released last week, reported that the Pentagon was able to track only 44 percent of the $13.4 billion in military aid sent to Israel since October 2023.
