Israel Gaza truce violations

Israel’s blatant violations of the Gaza ceasefire continue unabated, claiming the lives of more Palestinian civilians across the war-torn territory. According to Palestinian sources, Israeli tanks fired at civilians east of Deir al-Balah and in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. At the same time, the regime’s artillery fire struck Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood, and the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza. A Palestinian civilian was killed by Israeli gunfire in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, while a child was injured in an attack on displaced people’s tents in Deir al-Balah. The child was among six Palestinians injured within 24 hours. The death toll from the Israeli genocide is now near 70,370, with more than 171,000 others injured. The regime’s forces blew up several residential buildings east of Jabaliya and in Beit Lahia, both in northern Gaza. They also detonated a residential complex in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City. In the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of the City, Israeli forces detonated an explosive-laden armored vehicle, as the regime’s gunboats opened fire off the coast of Khan Yunis.

Israel war on media

The Israeli regime continues to draw fire over its brutal killing of journalists and media workers in Gaza, where the number of press crews killed is higher than any other war in the world. Now, Reporters Without Borders says nearly half of all journalists killed in 2025, lost their lives in Gaza. Reporters Without Borders said in its new report that sixty-seven journalists were killed worldwide last year, nearly half of them in the Gaza Strip. The international organization held Israeli forces directly responsible for the deaths of journalists while they were covering the regime’s brutal onslaught. It said the killing of journalists indicates a systematic targeting aimed at silencing the voices of the press in Gaza. RSF’s report followed a report by Palestinian officials in Gaza, which said Israeli forces have killed hundreds of media workers in Gaza to prevent unbiased coverage of their crimes. Gaza’s Government Media Office said nearly 260 media workers have lost their lives during two years of Israeli genocide, emphasizing that the regime forces have been targeting press crews in a systematic manner.

'No prize for warmongers'

Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets of the Norwegian capital, Oslo, demonstrating against the Venezuelan opposition leader, Maria Corina Machado. Machado is expected receive her Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday. Protesters waved Venezuela’s flags and chanted anti-war slogans. They expressed their opposition to the Nobel Peace Prize being used to legitimize military intervention in other countries. They were referring to Machado welcoming the United States’ military build-up in the Caribbean, and President Donald Trump's threats to oust Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Machado has been under scrutiny for her alignment with Trump's anti-Maduro campaign, after she dedicated her peace prize to the US president. The Oslo ceremony comes after the United States carried out multiple deadly strikes against boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific waters, which have left more than 80 people dead. Washington claims the strikes are part of a military campaign against regional drug cartels.
