Gaza ceasefire violations

The Israeli military has carried out fresh attacks in Gaza, violating the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. The regime’s artillery has shelled areas east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. They have also launched air and artillery strikes on Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Nasser Hospital has reported receiving martyrs and the injured every day, adding that more than 240 people have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since the ceasefire took effect. Meanwhile, Waste build-up in Gaza is causing more diseases. With no reliable rubbish collection system and hazardous waste from bomb sites, Palestinians in Gaza say the pollution has created a putrid atmosphere rife with environmental and health risks.

Hailing the Al-Aqsa flood operation

At the 34th Arab National Conference in Beirut, senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayyah hailed the October 7th Al-Aqsa Flood operation as a turning point that restored Palestinian dignity and foiled efforts to erase their cause. Al-Hayya praised Gaza's resilience, saying it has inscribed a shining history through resistance. He called for global solidarity to rebuild the territory post-aggression, pursue Israeli leaders for war crimes, and unite the Arab nations for Palestine's liberation. The leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement also addressed the event. Ziyyad Al-Nakhalah said Palestinians in Gaza fought an international coalition led by the United States in the past two years. He added that all Palestinian resistance groups were united in the field as well as in the political arena during this fight. Nakahlah emphasized that this unity was the main reason behind the resistance’s victory. The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement also gave a speech during the conference, warning against US-Israeli conspiracies that target all Islamic countries with the aim of establishing the so-called Greater Israel.

Iran-Pakistan ties

Iran’s parliament speaker says Tehran seeks to expand economic cooperation with Pakistan, stressing its vital and strategic importance for both nations. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf was speaking at a meeting with Pakistani merchants and traders in Karachi. He stressed that governments and parliaments in both countries should act as facilitators for traders from the two nations. Qalibaf noted that banking ties between Iran and Pakistan still face challenges, but these issues can be resolved quickly through joint efforts. Turning to the recent 12-day US-Israeli aggression against Iran, Qalibaf praised the people and government of Pakistan for standing with Iran through their sense of justice and by offering support across regional and international political arenas. Qalibaf added that this wisdom, solidarity, and foresight from the Pakistani nation will remain in the memory of the Iranian people.
