Gaza ceasefire summit

Donald Trump addressing the Knesset in Jerusalem, has revealed that the United States has provided billions of dollars in military support to Israel during its two years of genocidal war on Gaza. He went on to praise the Israeli prime minister, calling him one of the greatest war-time leaders. Referring to the 12-day war on Iran, Trump commended the Israeli forces for their aggression against the Islamic Republic and celebrated the killing of Iranian scientists. He also boasted about the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities by the US military, calling the operation a military beauty. At the same time Trump said that Washington is ready to extend a hand of friendship toward Tehran. He also proposed striking a new deal with Iran. After his address to the Knesset, Trump left for the Egyptian resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, where he will attend a summit on peace in Gaza.

Iran supports Palestine

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says Tehran supports any effort to stop the killing and genocide in Gaza. Esmaeil Baqaei, speaking at his weekly briefing, said Iran has been demanding an end to Israeli crimes, lifting of the blockade, and delivering aid to Gaza strip since the start of genocide. He called the past two years an assault on humanity, adding that October 7 didn’t happen in a vacuum. Baqaei said without considering Palestinian right to self-determination, the crimes won’t end. On Iran’s non-presence at the Sharm el-Sheikh peace summit, Baqaei said the invitation from Egypt was reviewed carefully, and the final decision serves Iran national interests. He added that Tehran’s influence doesn’t depend on attending such events. The Iranian official said over the past two years, Iran has actively pursued accountability for Israeli actions in Gaza.
