British police are investigating an arson attack at a mosque in Peacehaven, East Sussex as a hate crime with intent to endanger life.
It was late on Saturday evening when two masked men approached the mosque and poured gasoline all over the steps to the front door before setting fire to it.
Two worshipers were inside at the time, but thankfully, managed to escape and alert the emergency services who stopped the blaze spreading beyond the entrance.
A car belonging to one of the men who escaped was parked at the entrance and also caught fire, eventually exploding and being reduced to ash.
Footage of the attack shows huge flames rising into the night sky, however, the mosque is already up and running once again.
Having received a huge influx of well wishes from the local community, leaders are calling on all members of the community to not be deterred from attending, whilst also seeking security assurances from the police.
What we're really happy about is, Alhamdulillah (Thank God), the Masjid (Mosque) is now back and running, so it's back and opening.
So that's a really good thing for ourselves. You know, it's come back into being active, which is really good.
But, yeah, yes, it's just dealing with it, with the seriousness of the affair, and making sure that the police escalate it to the right levels now.

This attack, however, does not come in a vacuum, and follows a huge escalation of anti-Muslim rhetoric, both from mainstream and far-right political and media figures across the country.
In September, pro-Israeli extremist Tommy Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley Lennon, mobilized half a million people in central London for a rally where speakers openly incited violence against Muslims from the stage.
One of those voices was Elon Musk's, one of the richest and most powerful men in the world.
Violence is going to come to you, you will have no choice. You're in a fundamental situation here where, whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die.

For many, the incendiary anti-Muslim atmosphere in the UK is largely met with indifference by politicians and the media, in comparison to the response to an attack on a synagogue in Manchester last week, which has seen endless rolling news coverage and even moves by political leaders to restrict protests for Gaza.
How the authorities react to these attacks will determine how safe Muslims in the UK will feel going forward.
