Yemen anti-Israel strike
Israel has reported a new wave of drone strikes by Yemen against targets inside the occupied Palestinian territories. Israeli media say four drones were fired from Yemen, with at least one of them hitting the Ramon Airport in the Negev region, south of the occupied territories. The Israeli military says it failed to detect and intercept the explosive-laden aircraft. The attack caused significant damage to the airport's passenger terminal and left eight people injured. It also caused flight operations to be disrupted for several hours. The airspace above the airport was also closed. Yemen has carried out multiple drone and missile operations against Israel in recent weeks following the regime’s assassination of several Yemeni officials last month and in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
Israel Gaza onslaught
Israel’s genocidal campaign continues in Gaza, with a focus on Gaza City where the regime’s military operations cause more death and destruction. At least twenty-one Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks since the early hours of Sunday. Most of these killings took place in Gaza City. In the latest attack, regime’s warplanes struck a displacement tent near Al-Wafa Hospital in Gaza City. The attack killed at least two people and wounded several others. Gaza City remains under intense Israeli attacks, with an early September announcement from the regime to begin destroying high rise buildings there. Meanwhile the death toll has surpassed 64,300 since the regime began its genocidal war on Gaza.
Brussels pro-Palestine protest
Nearly 900 people have been arrested in London over protesting a ban by the UK government on the activist group Palestine Action. The protesters sat down in front of the parliament, defying a ban on the group, which has been outlawed in the country since two months ago. Protesters say the ban on Palestine Action is an unwarranted curb on free speech and the right to protest. Since the ban, almost 1,600 people have been detained, many for silently holding signs supporting the group. The UK has banned the activist group Palestine Action, designating it a terrorist organization in early July. The group, however, has been granted permission by the country’s High Court to challenge the ban.
