Iran responds to US aggression
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says it targeted US bases in Kuwait and Jordan in response to the latest aggression on Iran. The IRGC said a radar of the THAAD missile system, a Patriot defense system and a C-RAM radar were destroyed at a US base in Jordan. It said a fuel tank and a helicopter equipment warehouse were also targeted as well in the same area. The IRGC has also released a separate statement, saying that it attacked US bases in Kuwait. It said a large military equipment warehouse, a Patriot missile system, and a hangar for American MQ9 drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base were destroyed. It said the American forces' accommodation area and two helicopter hangars were targeted as well, killing and wounding a number of American forces and causing heavy damage to several helicopters and drones. Iran’s army says it has targeted US bases in Kuwait as well.
UK slammed for 'abetting US attacks'
Iran condemns Britain's decision to provide logistical support for US attacks against the Islamic Republic as a breach of international law. The Iranian Foreign Ministry says London's decision to provide military bases and facilities to support the US strikes amounts to complicity in the crime of aggression and war crimes. It says the move violates UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 which defines acts of aggression. The ministry criticized Britain, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, for backing the US unlawful attacks instead of condemning them. Iran has vowed to continue to defend its sovereignty warning that any party involved in military aggression against the country will be held responsible for the consequences. The new British Prime Minister has authorized the United States to use the UK's military bases for targeted strikes against Iran.
Iran-Iraq relations
Iran and Iraq have signed several memorandums of understanding to expand cooperation in different fields. President Masoud Pezeshkian, meeting with Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaydi in Tehran, urged the full implementation of the existing agreements to boost bilateral ties. Both leaders stressed the need to tap into joint capacities in political, economic, trade, transit and energy fields. The two sides believe expanding comprehensive relations would not only enhance stability, security, and prosperity in both countries, but would also reinforce regional solidarity.
