Israel killing Gaza journalists

Israel’s latest massacre in Gaza, which left several journalists dead, continues to draw condemnations. Iran’s Foreign Minister says this crime proves the panic of a globally reviled regime that is going downhill. In a social media post, Abbas Araghchi said the targeted assassinations of several high-profile Palestinian journalists are not indicative of the regime’s strength. He also referred to Western governments' complicity in the regime’s atrocities, stressing that their shameful silence is deafening. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps also strongly condemned the regime’s crime as a blatant attack on the freedom of expression and human rights. The IRGC said the regime seeks to silence the voice of truth by committing such crimes. It called on the international community and human rights organizations not to remain silent, and take action to stop the regime’s crimes. The European Union also condemned the killing of journalists in Gaza. Referring to Israel’s claim about journalists' links to Hamas, the bloc's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, said clear evidence should be provided in such cases to avoid targeting of journalists.

Berlin pro-Palestine rally

Global support for the Palestinian people in Gaza is gaining momentum, with more countries witnessing huge rallies in protest at the Israeli regime’s crimes. One of the latest protests saw hundreds of Germans gathering in the capital, Berlin, to voice their anger at Israel’s recent killing of journalists in the war-ravaged territory. Berlin demonstrators displayed photos of the victims while waving Palestinian flags and banners. They strongly condemned the targeting of media workers by Israeli forces in Gaza. The protesters carried placards with powerful messages, including "rest in peace freedom of the press.” They also carried posters that depicted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a wanted criminal next to toy babies covered in blood. Another banner read, "Even the Nazis did not bomb hospitals," in clear reference to the fact that journalists were targeted in front of a hospital in Gaza. Germany has witnessed waves of anti-Israel protests in reaction to the regime's genocidal war on Gaza, which began in October 2023.

US-Israeli Gaza genocide

Death and destruction continue to ravage the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli military intensifies its unrelenting attacks against Palestinian civilians. In one of the latest attacks, nearly a dozen people were killed in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. According to the Press TV correspondent, the area has been the focal point of Israeli attacks for the past several days. Other areas, including the al-Sabrah and Tal al-Hawa neighborhoods, were also the scene of deadly strikes with multiple fatalities. Israeli forces also opened fire on Palestinians seeking aid in several parts of the territory. The deadliest one happened in the Zikim aid center in northern Gaza, which left nearly 20 people dead. Gaza’s medical sources declared the deaths of five more Palestinians, including a child, due to starvation and malnutrition during the past 24 hours. The new fatalities bring the total number of starvation-related deaths to 222, including more than one-hundred children. The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed nearly 61,500 Palestinians, leaving more than 153,500 others injured.
