US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The Israeli military continues striking Gaza, killing more Palestinian civilians in its latest round of attacks. Aid distribution centers have become primary targets of direct Israeli fire. The latest victim of such attacks was a Palestinian killed near the Zikim aid center, northwestern Gaza. Another Palestinian was shot and killed near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza. An aid distribution center in Khan Yunis, south of the strip, was also the scene of direct Israeli fire. Around two dozen Palestinians have been killed near aid centers in Gaza since dawn. They are among over 50 people killed in a series of Israeli attacks on Saturday. The regime also targeted other parts of Gaza with air and artillery fire which resulted in multiple fatalities. The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed more than 59,700 Palestinians and left nearly 144,500 others injured.

Iran’s right to enrichment

A top Iranian diplomat has stressed that the removal of Western sanctions remains a non-negotiable prerequisite to any future nuclear agreement. Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takhte Ravanchi made the remark in an interview with Turkish media after talks with E3 representatives in Istanbul. Iran and the Europeans agreed to continue the talks but Takhte Ravanchi noted that no date or venue has been finalized for the next round. The senior diplomat condemned the recent US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, describing it as betrayal of diplomacy. He emphasized that Tehran wants firm guarantees against further aggression before entering into any renewed negotiations with Washington. Takhte Ravanchi also confirmed that indirect communication between Tehran and Washington is ongoing. He asserted that Tehran does not seek nuclear weapons, and that uranium enrichment is conducted solely for peaceful purposes in full compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty. He emphasized that the zero enrichment demand is neither acceptable nor realistic from Iran’s perspective.
