US-Israel Gaza genocide
Dozens of people have been killed in Gaza since dawn, as the Israeli regime presses ahead with its genocidal war on the besieged strip. An Israeli strike took the lives of five Palestinians and injured 20 others in the al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. In a separate attack on a school in Khan Yunis, a mother and her son were killed and nearly ten more were wounded. At least four people were also killed in an airstrike in Jabalia in northern Gaza. Areas across Gaza City were the scene of Israeli artillery shelling and gunfire as well. The ongoing genocide has killed more than 58,600 people and injured nearly 140,000 others since October 2023.
Iran armed forces vigilance
Iran’s top military commander says the country’s air defense forces have proven in the imposed 12-day war that they can withstand any threat and make the enemy regret their actions. The chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces made the remark during a visit to the Air Defense Headquarters. Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi praised Iran’s air defense forces for their performance in the war. He noted that the successful downing of the enemy’s aircraft in significant numbers demonstrated the Iranian forces’ capability, determination, and courage. The top general warned that any future aggression against Iran would be met with even more crushing blows. Meanwhile, Iran’s defense minister said in a phone call with his South African counterpart that Tehran’s firm response to the Zionist regime’s aggression forced the entity to request a ceasefire through US mediation. Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh also praised South Africa for supporting Palestine and slamming the aggression against Iran.
