Iranian Ambassador Ali Mohammad Rezaei recites prayers for Yemen's martyrs at al-Sabaeen Square in Sana'a.

Iran's Ambassador to Yemen, Ali Mohammad Rezaei, paid tribute to Yemen's martyred leaders during Martyr Week commemorations, stressing that the sacrifices of Yemen's armed forces and people will ultimately lead to the complete liberation of the country and the failure of US-Israeli schemes in the region.

During the ceremony at al-Sabaeen Square, Rezaei, accompanied by Yemen's Deputy Foreign Minister Abdullah Sabri, laid wreaths at the graves of martyred President Saleh al-Sammad, members of the martyr cabinet, the martyred Chief of Staff of Yemen's Armed Forces Mohammed al-Ghamari, and their companions, reciting prayers for those who gave their lives in defense of Yemen, the Islamic Ummah, and its sanctities.

In his remarks, the Iranian ambassador emphasized that the blood of Yemen's martyrs would not be shed in vain, asserting that these sacrifices "will lead to the expulsion of the occupier from all parts of the country and the failure of the US-Israeli project in the region."

Rezaei underscored the importance of consolidating the concept of martyrdom in the path of God and defending one's homeland, honor, and sacred values, particularly in the struggle against the United States, the usurping Zionist regime, and their regional proxies, whom he accused of committing grave crimes against the nations of West Asia.

The Iranian ambassador further noted that Yemen's armed forces and diplomatic apparatus are faithfully carrying out the collective will of the entire Yemeni people, which is to consolidate national sovereignty, expel all foreign occupiers, and lift the unjust siege imposed on the country.

Pointing to recent military gains, Rezaei highlighted the joy and celebration of the people in southern Yemen following the liberation of their areas from the grip of US-Saudi-backed mercenaries, describing it as clear evidence of the Yemeni nation's unwavering determination.

"With this spirit of sacrifice in the government and armed forces, and with the steadfast support of the people, victory is near by the will of God," the ambassador declared.

The ambassador's remarks come amid an escalation in the Yemeni Armed Forces' retaliatory operations against Saudi Arabia in response to deadly airstrikes on Yemeni civilians, including women and children.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and several regional allies, has imposed a comprehensive air, sea, and land blockade on Yemen since the launch of its military aggression in 2015.

The blockade has severely restricted the flow of food, fuel, medicine, and humanitarian aid, exacerbating what the United Nations has repeatedly described as one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
