Iran retaliatory operations
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says its aerospace force has hit a major American military base in Jordan with missiles in retaliation for attacks on Iranian tankers by the US terrorist army. The IRGC said in its statement that the operation targeted American military assets in Jordan’s al-Azraq Air Base with a large salvo of ballistic missiles. It added that liquid- and solid-fuel missiles hit maintenance hangars, preparation areas, and shelters for American F-35, F-16, and F-15 fighter jets, causing heavy damage to the base. In a separate statement, the IRGC said its aerospace force also fired powerful ballistic missiles at two US destroyers, which were armed with Aegis and cruise missiles, inflicting heavy damage on them. The IRGC said the operations followed desperate attacks by the US terrorist army on a number of Iranian commercial ships and oil tankers, amid ongoing confrontations in the Strait of Hormuz. It added that its operations will continue until the US acts of aggression stop.
Iran vows retaliation
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has issued a stern warning to all sailors and crews of tankers berthed in Kuwait and Bahrain to leave their vessels ahead of Iran's strikes. The IRGC’s statement came after the US terrorist army said it has targeted Iranian tanker ships. The IRGC said in view of the evil actions of the US terrorist army and the targeting of several Iranian tankers, all crews of tankers anchored at Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports, which host these terrorist forces, must leave their ships immediately, because they will be targeted.
US Iran sanctions
Iran's foreign minister has slammed the US for imposing new sanctions on Iranian entities, saying Washington is trying to make up for its failures in the war by imposing fresh sanctions. Abbas Araghchi made the comment in a social media post after the US Treasury issued 36 Iran-related sanctions targeting the country's aviation sector in order to escalate economic pressure on Tehran. The sanctions also took aim at a number of companies and cargo handlers, including in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Kazakhstan, which the US claimed helped Iranian airlines operate. Araghchi said after forty-seven years of sanctions, the US went to war with Iran on behalf of Israel, whose fallout has been disastrous for America, including for its global standing. Downplaying the impact of new sanctions, Iran's top diplomat said after failing to achieve its goals through sanctions or war, the only novel solution that Washington knows is nothing but imposing more sanctions, which is quite ridiculous.
