Leader appoints military commanders
Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, has appointed new military top brass. Major General Ali Abdollahi is appointed as Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. General Abdollahi has served as commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi is now Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, IRGC. Ayatollah Khamenei has also appointed Major General Mostafa Izadi as IRGC's Deputy Commander-in-Chief. Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari will also serve as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
Pezeshkian-Ayatollah Khamenei meeting
President Masoud Pezeshkian has met with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. The seven-hour meeting revolved around the country's issues and concerns. Pezeshkian described the leader's health condition as great.
'Israel not seeking Gaza peace'
Palestinians say Israel's rejection of the US so-called Gaza peace plan is another clear proof that the regime is not seeking peace; it has rather exploited the talks as a cover to continue with the genocidal war. In a statement, the Gaza government media office said the Israeli Prime Minister’s rejection of the 15-point plan is an attempt to derail the entire peace process. The Statement added that Benjamin Netanyahu’s rejection shows that the regime is using negotiations to buy time, advance its destructive plans, and continue the genocidal war on Gaza. Calling on all concerned parties to hold the regime accountable, the Gaza media office said all Palestinian parties have held their side of the bargain out of concern for Palestinian lives and wishing to end the catastrophic humanitarian suffering. In contrast, the Tel Aviv regime keeps fabricating crises to justify the continuation of its aggression.
