Iran Leader's message

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says Iran and the resistance front will teach the US unforgettable lessons now that Washington has launched a new aggression. In a message, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei said the enemy is seeking to incite war and endure heavier costs. He hailed the bravery of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic. The leader said the repeated US violations of the signed memorandum of understanding have once again proven that the American president's signature is worthless. He said the US violations, coinciding with the massive funeral of the martyred leader, have exposed the true face of the US, revealing that bullying, domination, and brutality are inseparable parts of its nature. Ayatollah Khamenei said this breach of trust serves as another solid document of American deceit and unreliability. The Leader stressed that preserving unity and avoiding division is a collective responsibility. He said the nation, by continuing to trust in officials in all three branches of government, will continue to be vigilant.

US MoU violations

Iran says the United States has violated every single part of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei said there is no clause in the MoU allowing the US to create an independent parallel route in the Strait of Hormuz. He said the US forced ships to pass through another route, bypassing the safe route coordinated with Iran, a violation of its commitments. Baqaei emphasized that the Islamic Republic has never sought war with any country and has only defended itself. The foreign ministry spokesperson also clarified that Iran has only targeted US military bases and equipment, stressing that the Islamic Republic has no enmity with the American people.

Honoring martyrs

More funerals have been held for the victims of the latest US aggression on the Islamic Republic. Mourners in the city of Yasuj gathered to pay their respects to Farshad Alavi, one of the soldiers killed in this week’s strike on an army barracks in Bampur, Sistan and Baluchestan province. Similar funerals were also held in several other cities, including Shiraz and Bandar Abbas. In the early hours of Wednesday, 13 missiles struck the garrison, directly hitting the barracks’ dormitory, guest house and guest post. The attack left seven people dead and dozens more wounded. The Iranian Health Ministry says at least 50 people have been martyred in US attacks on the country since June 27. More than 500 have also been wounded.
