Yemen’s Ansarullah denounces Saudi coalition threats, says they reflect Riyadh’s failure

A senior member of the Ansarullah resistance movement has condemned the Saudi-led coalition’s latest threats against Yemen, saying they reveal Riyadh’s political and military failures and its inability to break Yemen’s resistance despite years of war and blockade.

Mohammed Al-Farah on Monday rejected the coalition’s latest statement as a “political scandal” and a “worn-out narrative.”

The coalition has been left with nothing but threats after 11 years of war, blockade, and military operations that failed to achieve their stated objectives, he argued.

He maintained that Saudi Arabia has spent billions of dollars on mercenaries while suffering political setbacks and losing credibility on the international stage

Riyadh continues to hide behind the so-called peace roadmap to prolong the war instead of pursuing a genuine political settlement, he added.

“The statement reflects a state of political and military confusion,” Al-Farah said, adding that it exposed the coalition’s growing inability to counter Sanaa’s campaign against the blockade.

He also dismissed the Saudi-led war coalition’s condemnation of Yemeni operations in the Red Sea, saying the attacks targeted Israeli-American maritime activity in support of Gaza.

The coalition’s position also revealed Saudi Arabia’s unease over Yemen’s continued backing of the Palestinian people in Gaza, he said.

Earlier on Monday, the Saudi-led coalition threatened to respond with “unprecedented force” to any attempt to target the kingdom.

The warning came hours after Yemen’s armed forces said they would target Saudi airports and strategic land and maritime facilities if Riyadh continued violating Yemeni airspace or launched a new military assault.

The statement followed an incident in which Saudi warplanes entered Yemeni airspace in an attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing at Sana’a International Airport.

“A single strike against Saudi Arabia could erase everything it has dreamed of obtaining from Yemen over the past hundred years,” he warned.

Saudi Arabia continues to accept repeated setbacks because its decisions are shaped by outside powers rather than its own national interests, he asserted.

Riyadh is wasting its wealth on proxies and mercenaries in Yemen and Lebanon instead of pursuing a policy that serves regional stability, he added.
