At least three Palestinians have been killed in separate Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, as Israeli military offensives continued across the besieged enclave despite a ceasefire, according to Palestinian health authorities.
Health officials said two people were killed when an Israeli drone struck the al-Salatin area west of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza on Sunday. The attack also wounded at least one other person, who was taken for medical treatment. The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
In a separate incident in southern Gaza, Israeli forces targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis. According to local medical sources, an Israeli warplane fired a missile at the tent, injuring several people, who were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Medical staff at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis said they received the body of one unidentified victim following the strike.
The latest incidents add to the mounting civilian toll in Gaza, where hostilities have continued amid widespread displacement and severe humanitarian conditions.
According to Gaza health officials, the overall death toll from Israel's genocidal war in the territory has reached at least 73,054 Palestinians since October 7, 2023, adding that a further 173,480 people have been injured during the same period.
