Ten more Palestinians, including journalist, killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza despite ceasefire

Palestinian journalist Ahmad Washah was killed in an Israeli air attack on central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp.

At least ten Palestinians, including a Palestinian cameraman and four members of one family, have been killed and dozens more injured in fresh Israeli attacks across the besieged Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.

In central Gaza, Palestinian cameraman Ahmad Washah was killed on Saturday when an Israeli drone struck a house in Al-Bureij refugee camp. Another Palestinian was killed and a third was wounded in the same strike.

Ahmad’s killing came weeks after his brother Mohammed was deliberately killed southwest of Gaza City when Israeli forces shelled his car.

At least 260 Palestinian journalists have been killed since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

In Gaza City, an Israeli drone strike on a home near al-Tayaran Junction killed four members of one family — a man, his wife and their two daughters.

An elderly Palestinian was also killed when Israeli naval forces shelled tents sheltering displaced people on al-Bahr Street in the al-Amadi area west of the city.

Another Palestinian was killed and a woman was wounded in a separate Israeli drone strike targeting pedestrians near al-Saftawi roundabout in northern Gaza City.

In Beit Lahia, a woman was killed by Israeli gunfire.

In southern Gaza, an Israeli drone strike on a gathering of civilians west of Khan Yunis killed one Palestinian and wounded seven others.

Two Palestinian boys were injured by Israeli army gunfire near the Abu Hamid roundabout east of Khan Yunis.

Five more Palestinians were wounded when an Israeli drone targeted a civilian gathering in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City.

Israeli violations of the ceasefire have killed 1,007 Palestinians and injured 3,165 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Updated figures cited by WAFA on Sunday raised the post-ceasefire death toll to 1,021 killed and 3,249 injured.

Palestinian health authorities reported that the overall death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has reached 73,032 Palestinians killed and 173,357 injured since October 2023.

Rescue teams continue to be unable to reach many victims still trapped under rubble or in inaccessible areas.
